She has the drive to want to help others and serve others to her full potential.
We came to Magee to have our third child via C-section. We had her Sunday morning and got moved to the MB unit after that. A day or two went by and we found out that our daughter had to be put under light therapy for high blood levels of bilirubin. The following day she was taken off of them but was not out of the clear, that is the day we met Michaela. She was very professional and sincere from the minute she walked into our room, asking if we needed anything at all. We were very emotional that day as our baby's levels were rising again. She was there every step of the way always asking if there was anything she could help with or answer for us. The following day the baby was back under the lights and we were confused as to what was going on. We ended up having her as our nurse again and she was there every step of the way, getting us who we needed to talk to for our questions to be answered all while taking great care of us and our baby. That night I had to be discharged and the baby was unable to go, so she did everything in her power to be able to help us stay with our baby and to not be separated from her, as she knew how upset we were. She was able to allow us to stay the night with our baby. Our daughter had her as a nurse the following day, but that didn't stop her from taking care of us. She has the drive to want to help others and serve others to her full potential. No matter the amount of work involved, my and my child's comfort was always the highest priority. She continued to care for me as her patient, asking if we needed anything. You can tell she carries her heart wherever she goes. She is very prideful and sincere. Above and beyond her call of duty, we are so thankful to have had her as our nurse.
