I am forever grateful for the amount of compassion, attentiveness, and care you showed my Mom during her last days.
…and your thoughtfulness touched my heart. Thank you. Michaella, I am forever grateful for the amount of compassion, attentiveness, and care you showed my Mom during her last days. Her partner told me she talked about you and loved having you as her nurse. My heart aches over the loss of my Mom but I am comforted knowing she was cared for deeply. I think you were right. She was waiting for a sunny day, as she passed peacefully the next morning. Thank you. “Deep listening is the kind of listening that can help relieve the suffering of another person. You can call it compassionate listening. You listen with only one purpose: to help him or her empty his heart.” -Tien Nhat Hanh

Michaella had two very difficult discharges. One to a facility, the other to home with hospice. She managed both of them superbly. Multiple changes had to be made in both cases. Michaella handled all of that with great care and attention.
Note: This is Michaella's 2nd DAISY Award!
