Michel approaches everything she does with patience, diligence, and a deep passion for her work.
Michel is special. Our Nanuet team has faced a staffing crisis with MOAs coming and going over the past year, and the way Michel has stepped up as a team player time and time again is truly remarkable. She has worked with multiple providers, run her own nurse schedule, handled her tasks and her providers’ tasks without skipping a beat, and still always finds the time to call her patients or assist those in the office who need her help.
I have personally received patient feedback praising how wonderful she is, how she helped them understand their medications, and explained their visit clearly and patiently. She is not only kind and caring toward our patients; she genuinely worries about everyone on her team. Michel approaches everything she does with patience, diligence, and a deep passion for her work.
There was one patient who was very ill and came to our office weekly for labs. When he hadn’t come in for a few weeks, Michel was so concerned that she called his wife just to make sure they were both okay. She also plays a vital role in caring for many of our Haitian patients who do not speak English and often struggle to understand their plan of care. Thanks to Michel, they never leave our office confused or unsure. She sits with them, explaining everything they need to know in their native language, reviewing referrals, answering questions, and helping them schedule follow-up appointments. She puts them at ease, giving them someone they can trust, someone who is always happy to help.
For all of these reasons, and countless more, Michel is truly an amazing nurse, employee, colleague, and team player.
