Michele exemplifies transformational leadership, clinical expertise, and a steadfast dedication to lifelong learning. She began her career as a licensed practical nurse and has since earned a master’s degree in nursing, along with multiple professional certifications.
As the lead clinician in her department, she is a sought-after expert, consulted by practitioners and nurse leaders system-wide. She mentors all nurses in her specialty at CMC and has led policy development both locally and across the AHS system.
She actively chairs Shared Governance councils and contributes nationally by serving on boards related to certification and accreditation. Despite her leadership roles, she continues to provide bedside care each shift, offering compassionate and skilled care. Her influence extends from patients to policy, making her a role model that embodies the values celebrated by the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award
