Michele Anderson, RN
Michele Anderson is a stalwart Registered Nurse working on B2ICU of inpatient psychiatry. She cares for some of the most acutely mentally ill patients in our hospital. Michele seems to have endless energy and compassion in caring for some of our most complex mentally and often medically ill patients. Michele excels in patience. She is an amazing listener. If a patient has a question, she will focus all her attention on making sure that the patient gets an answer and explanation. She knows how to deescalate tense situations while remaining calm and reassuring. She interacts with very decompensated patients yet maintains a nonjudgmental, therapeutic, and compassionate presence. She excels at patient advocacy and frequently will speak to a provider with her insights on a patient treatment plan. She understands her role and approaches it with a very inquisitive nature. She is so very deserving of recognition for the difference she has made in so many lives.
