The first day my son and I met Michele, she was very knowledgeable and professional. As I was nervous on the first day, I was grateful that she explained each step of the procedure and assured me that she would consistently monitor me, which she did. Over the course of 30 days, I observed her with other patients, doctors, and colleagues. She is a role model to the other nurses and is friendly yet respectful to the doctors who check the hyperbaric patients as well as the patients themselves. She is also very flexible and often volunteered to work at the wound care and Trauma Centers. She attended a hyperbaric workshop in Philadelphia. One weekend to increase her knowledge and acquire more credits. I asked if it meant a pay raise and she said no. She just liked to keep updated on hyperbaric treatment. While in Philadelphia she fell and fractured her wrist. However, that did not keep her from returning to work on Monday and performing her duties despite the cast and discomfort. I was impressed by her devotion to her patients, her relationships with her colleagues and her dedication to her job. Michele definitely provides high-quality patient care and is a DAISY Nurse.
