A self-proclaimed “softie” with her patients, this nurse skillfully balances warmth and compassion with firmness and professionalism. Her director stated she consistently observes her ability to set clear expectations while maintaining genuine concern for each patient’s well-being.

These qualities convey confidence, strong clinical judgment, and a deep commitment to helping patients. Michele is an outstanding educator. Patients frequently remark, “Are you sure you’re not a doctor?” a reflection of her extensive knowledge and her ability to explain complex medical conditions in a clear and understandable way.

Michele creates a safe space for patients to express fears and concerns, helping them come to terms with lifelong changes to their bodies and health. Over the past year, she has managed several patients with irregular stomas and complicated wounds that initially required extensive trial and problem-solving to determine the most effective appliances and techniques.

She is a natural problem solver and successfully identified individualized solutions that improved wound healing, increased patient comfort, and restored confidence in managing long-term medical conditions.
