Michele Magarelli, BSN, RN
Michele Magarelli is truly the backbone of our unit, and words can hardly capture the positive impact she has on all of us. Michele constantly goes the extra mile to ensure that every patient and every team member feels supported and valued.
She has an uncanny ability to sense when someone is struggling, whether it’s a patient in distress or a nurse who’s overwhelmed, and she’s there in an instant, offering her calm presence and practical assistance. Her compassion radiates in everything she does, and she makes each patient feel safe and cared for, even in the most trying moments.
Another nurse wrote: "I am a new graduate nurse, and Michele would take time to make sure I was adjusting well to the unit and to nursing during my orientation. She took time on her weekend off to call me to wish me good luck and congratulations on my first shift off orientation. She went above and beyond to make sure I could go to my nursing school best friend's wedding during my orientation."
Michele makes sure every team member knows they can come to her with questions, concerns, or just a need for encouragement. She is a patient teacher, sharing her knowledge generously and guiding us all to be better nurses. She brings a level of organization and efficiency to the unit that keeps everything running smoothly, even on the most chaotic days.
