My husband has been a patient for 26 days this month. He had aspiration pneumonia, colon cancer screening, breathing problems, etc. Michele has been a shining star and deserves to be recognized for her caring ways, for both my husband and me.

When he was moved to the ICU after surgery, she was assigned to his room. She took excellent care of him, explained procedures, provided both physical and emotional support, and treated him like he was her family. I did not, however, expect the warmth and caring attitude that she gave me. She greeted me with tender words a hug, and offered support in the most generous way.

She is knowledgeable and explained things in simple terms to help me understand his condition and what to expect. She did not rush. She answered all my questions and explained why she couldn’t answer when necessary. I only wish I could take her home with us to care for him. Michele not only does what is required in a most professional way, but she went above and beyond to bring comfort and care to both of us. I highly recommend her for the DAISY Award.
