Micheline Ferdinand was nominated as a DAISY NURSE for April 2015 by the parent of a patient. The "parent" was herself the May 2014 DAISY HONOREE. A DAISY nurse nominating another nurse for her kindness, compassion, work ethic, commitment to patients who are suffering. Micheline followed the patient who was suffering into MRI to ensure that her pain medication was effective so testing could be completed. The parent writes, "my daughter was a patient in the Emergency Room and had the good fortune of having Micheline Ferdinand RN assigned to care for her. As a mother, a nurse and employee, all of my concerns were with my daughter and the severe pain she was experiencing. Micheline was prompt and efficient and had all pain medications immediately available to ensure my daughter had comfort during the MRI testing. Micheline's work ethic, calm voice, gentleness and patient advocacy made this unfortunate illness bearable. Micheline defines DAISY NURSE.
