Michell E. Kobata, RN

Michell was the pre-op nurse for my daughter today who went above and beyond her call of duty to ease my daughter’s fear and anxiety over her surgery. Michell realized that my daughter was severely anxious about her surgery due to multiple prior surgeries and hospitalizations and she was able to woe a child off to surgery smiling who honestly came in crying, angry, and hiding behind the room chairs. Michell worked with Child Life, the Anesthesiologist, treated my daughter with respect, and made a once horrible experience into one that my daughter will remember as one with choices filled with people that truly cared about her. My husband and I cannot thank Michell enough for taking the time to really take those extra steps needed to ease our daughter’s anxiety and make this pre-op experience one that my daughter will remember as a positive one.
