We felt like a true friend was taking care of him instead of just his nurse for the day.
This “thank you” is being written on behalf of my husband who is visually impaired. Michelle was my husband's nurse off and on for several days during his stay at the hospital. He is facing a number of health issues and he has not been able to catch much of a break health-wise. He was admitted to Nephrology and told about kidney damage from his infection, delays about his heart condition, high white cell count, etc. Through everything he has to deal with, Michelle has been the positive energy throughout the entire experience. My husband does not talk much at all and he has bonded so well with Michelle. He was very interested in her work schedule and the days she would be back with him. I don’t see it necessary to point out any specific incidents since EVERY visit by her was happy, encouraging, and joyful. Clearly, this nurse is a diamond in her field just in her representation of her line of work… a nurse. She clearly makes dedicated rounds on her patients because she was timely on her “check-ins” which was not the same on her days off. She voluntarily explained every move she made such as “magnesium may make you feel like…” or “the red wrist band is for… the yellow one is for…” We felt like a true friend was taking care of him instead of just his nurse for the day. It’s the attitude, consistency, and professional way of doing business that Michelle Grant displays every day that has meant everything to my husband's healing process. Thanks so much, Michelle! You are special!
