My 94-year-old father stayed in Unit 5 West for at least a week before going to rehab. He had heart failure and other issues related to it so he was a patient who needed attentive care. This time, there seemed to be a lot of patients also recovering from illnesses, etc., so the nurses were very busy! Although all the nurses were attentive, Michelle was exceptional and memorable because of her cheery bedside manner.

Additionally, I was impressed by her knowledge of nursing and science! If you had to use the call button, it wasn’t a long wait – we really appreciated that – the nurses on the floor were quite busy. Her beautiful smile and tone of voice to her patients stand out! When my father was moved to rehab a few things were left behind including a photo of my father in his youth. I was at work and couldn’t be there. Michelle took the time and care to put aside these things and give me a call. She went above her obligations and I really appreciate it! Nursing is a demanding job – no doubt about it! Michelle is a great asset and has a great bedside approach to her patients who at times may be difficult. Thanks, Michelle! You Rock Girl!
