Michelle Berry, RN

Michelle has recently been functioning in the role of relief charge nurse in the absence of our full-time night shift charge nurse. Her willingness to work in this role at this early juncture in her career is, in my book, a marker for real success in our profession. Michelle is incredibly energetic, and positive, and is an assertive communicator. I believe these are must-have qualities for a nurse leader. She has aided with throughput by promptly assigning admissions whilst maintaining safe and equitable assignments for her colleagues. She is also incredibly proactive, looking to get an idea of what shift change will look like well ahead of time. Needless to say, I am impressed, and Michelle deserves kudos as a new grad pressed into a role that is beyond most seasoned nurses and doing a great job.
