It is my pleasure to nominate Michelle Bishop for the DAISY Award. Michelle is a breath of fresh air. There have been many times in the past year that Michelle has been the only RN assigned to Burlington county for long periods of time, driving 45 minutes to an hour between visits just to ensure patients are seen. Michelle does work every other weekend to ensure coverage for Burlington county. Michelle is hard-working, always has a smile on her face and goes above and beyond for all of our patients. Michelle always picks up extra when needed and has often worked her days off to make sure our patients are seen and receive high-quality care.
One patient a while back called me to tell me that when Michelle went to the home to do a SOC. They had no oil to heat their home. Michelle called multiple companies until she found one that would come out that day to deliver the oil the family desperately needed. Michelle is honest and dependable. She has taken on the role of mentor to all of the new Burlington county nurses. Calling them often to check on them. Michelle is an absolute pleasure to work with.
