Even though we've only known each other for a short period of time Michelle, I clearly see as well as understand that you're a blessing. You actually make everything alright with how you greet people and listen to whatever they may have to say. I met Michelle after I had lost 5 pints of blood. I was confused and she helped me work through and understand my disease. Her professionalism demonstrates the work she has put into her skills and interaction with patients, staff, and doctors alike. Her smile would brighten anyone's day. Her clinical skills, from blood draw to straight Cath and blood replacement procedures. The more I think back to that first time I recall many times she helped others as well as me. I was truly amazed by the compassion, kindness and positive attitude of my Nurse Michelle. She really went above and beyond to help comfort me after I was diagnosed with colon cancer. She clearly explained what was ahead as far as my treatment plan, surgery, etc. She also took the time to speak with my mom and reassure her that her son was doing well. She told my mom about the visiting schedule and even helped her get a room to stay in while she was in Richmond, free of charge! To me this is Amazing! She is truly an extraordinary nurse in every sense of the word and deserves this award for her excellent care of her patients and their families.
