I am beyond grateful for her professionalism, expertise, and compassionate demeanor.
From the moment Michelle began caring for me, she embodied what it means to be an empathetic, compassionate nurse. I was incredibly anxious about my upcoming heart surgery, but Michelle immediately put my mind at ease and became a true lifeline throughout the entire process. One of my biggest fears was getting an IV, but she inserted it so effortlessly and painlessly that I barely noticed.

After the procedure, I experienced a severe asthma attack—mostly due to my own anxiety—but Michelle remained calm, kind, and knew exactly how to handle the situation. Her care made me feel like I was her top priority, and she was so attentive from the start of my treatment until she transferred me to recovery. As she moved me from room to room, her co-workers greeted her warmly, and it was clear she is beloved by everyone at the hospital. What could have been a terrifying experience was made so much better by Michelle’s exceptional care. I am beyond grateful for her professionalism, expertise, and compassionate demeanor. Every cardiac patient should have a nurse like Michelle—I can’t thank her enough!

(Note from manager) Michelle is a practical joker, she loves to keep everyone on their toes, you never know when she’ll be hiding around the corner waiting to jump out and scare you. Currently, we have a Project SEARCH Intern in our department (the organization helps young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities learn personal and professional skills and then supports their search for employment in an area that meets their interests and abilities.) Michelle has taken a large role in ensuring she is set up for success. On our intern’s birthday, Michelle got her a cake, crown, picture book with photos of her with staff in the department, and a whoopie cushion. She made her day!
