Michelle Freitas is one of our Peri-Op 101 students, who has been very successful here in the OR. I have had the pleasure of supervising Michelle for the past 2 years now. Michelle's dedication to providing exceptional patient care to our surgical patients has been a treat to watch, in part, because of her ability to handle tough situations with tact, sensitivity, and professionalism.
Self-assured and calm, Michelle has been a credit to Washington Hospital Healthcare where she has consistently provided patients with exceptional nursing care. Her potential to work in a high-stress environment has been truly tested with her transfer to the Peri-Op area two years ago. She has quickly become one of the more sought out nurses to circulate the more complex and difficult procedures.
