Michelle Galos was the first nurse we met when my husband was admitted for his heart transplant. She was very welcoming and explained everything well and answered all our questions. She was frequently checking in on my husband after his heart transplant and continued to provide support to us in this difficult time. My husband didn't have a heart beat after his first transplant, and she explained well how the ECMO was supporting his system. She was very compassionate in her interactions. Michelle was the nurse who shut off ECMO when we withdrew care. She was very comforting.
