I was not a patient. I was part of the ambulance crew taking the patient to the other facility. Her nurse Michelle in the ED was so caring. She went above and beyond to make sure her pediatric patient wasn't scared or alone during the ambulance ride to Peoria. She even helped arrange a ride home for the patient's two sisters as they couldn't stay the night down there. I've been in a lot of different facilities, but her care and concern touched me. I have not seen that care and compassion in a lot of nurses. I know what she did wasn't huge, but it was to that family. The look on their faces was relief knowing they had someone who would always be with the patient.
