Michelle went above and beyond for a patient we were having communication challenges with. Even though the translator was used to communicate with the patient, Michelle took the time to look up American Sign Language signs to ensure she would always be able to communicate with her patient, using basic signs, if the translator was on break or lunch. Though she was very busy, Michelle took the time to make sure her patient was cared for. She respected the specific needs of this patient and tried to ensure her care was individualized.
Taking the time to ensure she could meet the patient's needs for that moment, she displayed our values of compassion and purpose. Thank you for going above and beyond to help this patient during such a scary time for her!
