In October of 2010, my brother Curtis Perry was in the hospital dying of cancer. One of your nurses, Michelle Grant was so very caring and nice to my entire family. She always had some kind words to say. She treated my brother like he was OK, not sick, and would be going home soon. This made him very happy. Thank you for sharing her with my family. She knew just what to say and how to say it, to each one of us. You know when we had our family meeting, several family members brought her name up, and how she really helped us help him prepare his way to his heavenly home. Please don't let her hard work of caring, sharing, and being there for a family who needed soft words at times, laughter at times, and understanding at the right time, go unnoticed. You might say, or others might say, "Oh well, she was just doing her job", but let me tell you something, this woman went well beyond her call of duty. I cannot begin to tell you all of things she did, because I am beginning to cry, just thinking about her love and kindness. I miss my brother very much, but when I think about him in the hospital and Michelle, a little smile comes on my face, while the tears roll down my face. Please don't let her work go unnoticed. She is truly one of God's helpers. Please could you do one thing for me? I would like for you to tell her that Curtis Perry's nine brothers and sister's said "Thank you from the bottom of their hearts". I know you are busy, but please take a little time out of your day to tell her this for us.
