I am honored to nominate Michelle for the prestigious DAISY Award in recognition of her unwavering dedication, advocacy, and exceptional knowledge. She has consistently demonstrated, during my time here at CC, as a patient, what it means to go above and beyond for her patients, ensuring not only their physical health but also their emotional well-being. One instance that highlights Michelle's commitment was her exceptional support for me as I was recovering from a burst abdominal aneurysm and post-surgery pain. She was kind and empathetic when I was moved to her floor from the ICU. I experienced significant discomfort, and she stepped in as a steadfast advocate. She diligently communicated with the medical team, ensuring that my pain was managed effectively and my concerns were addressed. Her proactive efforts not only alleviated suffering but also brought much-needed reassurance during a challenging time. She exemplifies the role of an advocate by standing up for her patients and ensuring their voices are heard. Her ability to translate complex medical information into clear, compassionate communication ensures her patients feel informed and empowered. Her knowledge and attention to detail were crucial in providing the best care possible during my time in the hospital. Her actions have left a lasting impact on me, as she was empathetic, kind, and caring. She embodies the values and spirit that the DAISY Award celebrates, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this honor. Thank you for considering Michelle for this recognition.
