Michelle Harkless, Staff Nurse

To begin with, I try not to be a patient who pushes the call button a lot, but I had just had my foot amputated. I was having serious pain. The nerve blocks had worn off, but Michelle was there. She never let me suffer. She did everything she could according to what my chart would allow. She explained why, when, and everything I needed to know.

Michelle was there in a flash whenever I pushed the call button. She kept me informed of all the notes in my chart. When the doctors didn't come by at all, Michelle was there to fill in the blanks. My wife stayed with me that first night after the surgery. When she saw that Michelle was going to be my nurse again the next night, she knew I would be so well taken care of that she could go home. We started calling her Marvelous Michelle. Michelle really talked to me, not as just a patient but as a person. I am truly blessed to have been cared for by Michelle.
