Wednesday came and Michelle was Mawmaw’s nurse, and she was so compassionate! She made sure my Mawmaw was comfortable and resting.
Michelle was a God send! My grandmother was admitted to Hospice on Christmas weekend. She was in a lot of pain and very agitated. All weekend, we were just trying to keep her in bed and comfortable and were unsuccessful. We were all so tired and exhausted. Wednesday came and Michelle was Mawmaw’s nurse, and she was so compassionate! She made sure my Mawmaw was comfortable and resting. She made extra rounds in her room and made sure she was getting medicine and was comfortable. I noticed Michelle was very busy that day, but she never made us feel that way. She took her time, sat with us, comforted us, and shared her story on taking care of her dad on hospice this past year. She was such a light, and I could tell she loved her job and patients very much. Michelle went above and beyond every shift she worked. Making calls to the hospice and our family because we all work. But we had peace knowing Mawmaw was being cared for and loved on when we couldn’t be there, and when Michelle was working.
Thank you, Michelle, for making my Mawmaw’s transition so peaceful. You were an Angel sent to us, and we will never forget you!
