Michelle has worked on L&D at SFMC since January 2007. In that time, she has developed the Perinatal Bereavement Program at SFMC. She has a passion for giving compassionate care to the families who lose a baby during pregnancy, at birth or in immediate newborn period. Michelle always comes in to provide counseling & sympathetic care even when she is not scheduled to work. She has purchased & hand-made keepsakes for these families on her own time. Michelle has also provided education to the entire nursing staff at SFMC & presented to the BSR organization regarding the Perinatal Bereavement Program. She has provided extraordinary work on a topic which is very sensitive and has done this with compassion & dedication. She exemplifies the DAISY Award.
