I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work on coordinating a patient’s workup, since it really led to making a diagnosis. As you know, she is from Michigan, who was referred to us by another stroke staff member, and from the very start, I suspected sarcoidosis in her. She had an LN biopsy in Michigan that was negative.

However, sarcoidosis remained very high on our differential; therefore, we ordered further workup up which you fought with her insurance for, advocated for her strongly, made countless calls to her, her daughter, and to the hospital where she wanted to have this workup done to coordinate everything.

All that was extremely helpful for her care. We admitted her here on service this week and continued the quest for a diagnosis since she was getting worse and repeated an LN biopsy, which returned today, confirming a diagnosis of sarcoidosis. Just shows that the hard work you do really does pay off in the end. This patient and I are both very grateful for all the help and untiring dedication you've shown towards this patient. We couldn't have reached this diagnosis without your help. We're very lucky to have you on our team. Keep up the great work!
