Michelle was a true difference-maker and really helped instill hope at an incredibly tough time.

My wife was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and was filling up with massive amounts of fluid. We were so scared and had no idea what this all meant. Michelle was such an amazing nurse. She consistently went above and beyond every moment she could to help my wife and me. She made it a point to come in when the doctor or a specialist was there, to help elaborate on explanations when needed. She stayed well after her shift to sit and talk to us about an upcoming procedure. When my wife was having her surgery, I was walking back to the floor and had a complete meltdown. Michelle was able to help me relax and talked to me about all that was going on and was the first person at that point to explain to me how far they have come with research and treatment. She stayed well after her shift again to go and visit with my wife in the recovery room of the OR so she could check on her and report back to me. Michelle was a true difference-maker and really helped instill hope at an incredibly tough time. She went over and above at every instance to help my family feel at ease and took incredible great care of my wife. The energy and enthusiasm she brought were uplifting. She will never be forgotten by my family and will always be appreciated. Her level of caring for her patients is one of a kind. Words cannot express how thankful I am for having her take care of my wife.

Note: This is Michelle's 2nd DAISY Award!
