Michelle Jones spent a lot of time caring for and preparing a patient to go home. This patient was still unwilling to accept the severity of his illness and had his own doubts regarding medications and equipment needed at home. Michelle spent hours doing discharge needs and addressing anxieties of the patient. He was discharged home with scripts but was not going to fill them until the next day. Michelle noted the need for his anxiety medication and went to CVS to fill it for the patient prior to discharge. His RX card was not valid so she paid for it herself and would not accept his money. She saw the patient all the way to his car herself. She is caring, kind, patient and a great teacher. This is one of many good deeds performed by this RN.
