My mom was in the hospital which was unexpected. She was visiting Georgia and her family for the winter. I was in Ohio, so I made a quick trip. The next morning I got the hospital to find she was going to be released but she was going to need rehab. I was blessed to have my uncle and cousin, who is a minister, with me when I met with Michelle because I didn't know about the facilities in the area.
My cousin was helpful since he has been to most, and the one we decided on Michelle said was sometimes hard to get into because it is busy. She worked on the phone most of the day and was able to get my mom in. She stopped in and out that day to update me and was so kind to me and my mom. Having just arrived after a 12-hour drive, it was nice to have someone working on your behalf when you are trying to wrap your head around the situation. She was a blessing from God.
On another note, the facility my mom went to was nice and the aides were unbelievable. They were kind and one in particular I know was an angel sent to my mom and me. She would take time to pray over my mom and talk with me when I needed time out of the room because my mom's pain had become worse. My mom passed very unexpectedly. If Michelle hadn't got us in that place, our last days together may not have been such a blessing because of the angel that was there for us.
