I’m so happy to recognize my coworkerMichelle because she is honestly one of the best nurses I’ve had the chance to work with.

The ER can be chaotic, overwhelming, and emotionally draining, but she handles it all with such calm confidence. No matter how busy we are, whether we’re slammed with patients, running a code, or managing multiple high-acuity rooms, she stays steady and focused. She is the kind of nurse you want next to you when things get tough.

What really stands out is that she never lets the pace of the ER take away from how they treat people. She is genuinely kind to patients and families. She explains things in a way that makes sense, advocates when something feels off, and makes sure her patients feel safe and heard. Even on our hardest shifts, she doesn’t lose that compassion.

As a teammate, she is incredibly supportive. She is always willing to jump in to help, whether that’s starting a tough IV, helping with a critical patient, or just checking in when someone looks overwhelmed. She never makes anyone feel stupid for asking a question and truly contributes to a positive team environment.

Michelle makes our department stronger just by being here. Our patients benefit from her skill and heart every single shift. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.

Thank you, Michelle, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
