Michelle was the admitting nurse when we came up from surgery for a bowel obstruction. Michelle was our night nurse; she was our nurse Sunday, Tuesday – Thursday. She is an amazing advocate for her patients. Michelle fought for the care our little boy deserved. After pushing for labs, we found out he had a high potassium level. Michelle pushed them to stop his potassium infusion. She did not give up; she fought for our little boy who is 14 months old. Michelle is such an extraordinary nurse. She truly loves what she does. Words cannot even begin to describe how grateful we are for her and the care our little boy has received this far!

Later on, during the stay mom had to leave for the night, Michelle made sure she was the nurse on that Friday night that took care of him. She was really good about giving mom updates. Michelle was the nurse for the rest of the weekend. It was really nice of our son to have a face and voice he recognized. Having the same nurse on the night shift made a difference in care I feel because they already knew the patient and knew what the patient needed.
