August 2017 Honoree
michelle martin, RN
Our ER had a homeless patient brought in by the police for psychiatric issues. The patient was wearing pants that didn't fit, was using a phone charger as a belt and was wearing no shoes. Michelle took it upon herself on her break to go home and get shoes and clothes for this patient to wear when discharged. The patient was given a shower, food to eat and due to Michelle's sense of compassion clothes to wear, making a major positive impact on this person's life.
Thank you, Michelle, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
