Before Michelle left for the night, she came in and told all of us goodbye, and instantly, we were sad because she had been so amazing the whole time and had truly made this journey so much better.
I had to come up and be induced a few days earlier than we expected, and when it didn't go as planned, and I had to have a c-section, it got pretty scary. After my c-section and I got into the recovery room, Michelle came down with my daughter and my husband so I could meet the baby, and she was amazing right from the get-go. She came into the room telling me how beautiful the baby was and immediately brought her over, put her on me, and stayed there to make sure I was okay.
I didn't see her again that night, but we were lucky enough to have her as our nurse the next day. I had to have help doing even the simplest of things, and she came right in every time we called, so happy to help. She showed my husband how to change the baby's diaper, and she was so kind and sweet. She went above and beyond to help us meet the needs of our baby in the most considerate, understanding way.
At one point in the day, my husband went downstairs to get us lunch, and Michelle came into the room with the baby and me. She saw how tired I was but how hard I was trying to be able to take care of the baby, and she sat down in the chair in the room and snuggled up with the baby and was there just to talk with me and keep me company. That meant more to me than words can say. Before Michelle left for the night, she came in and told all of us goodbye, and instantly, we were sad because she had been so amazing the whole time and had truly made this journey so much better.
Anytime you have to be in any healthcare facility, you can tell who is there for a paycheck and who is there for the passion of the job. We could automatically tell that Michelle has such a passion for what she does, and it truly means the world to someone such as ourselves who are starting the next chapter of our lives, and we are so grateful still that Michelle was of that. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
