Michelle is exemplary in her service to the patients on L&D who have suffered the loss of a baby. She goes above and beyond to provide care to these mothers. She has stayed late to sit with mothers during such a difficult time. In one case where a mother did not get any pictures of her baby, she helped get this patient's baby out of the morgue to take pictures. She dressed the baby and took beautiful pictures. We were able to send the mother the clothing and pictures; she was so thankful and appreciative. This would not have been possible without Michelle. She also recently encouraged a mother to spend time with her baby after the baby passed away in NICU. The mother decided to utilize the cuddle cot because of Michelle. The mother came back and told her how grateful she was because she would never forgive herself if she hadn't spent that time with her baby. Michelle is such an asset to this team. These are just two examples, but every patient she takes care of gets the same treatment and empathetic care.
