Michelle Munger is outstanding and exceptional. We had a patient that had fluid around the heart and it was read on x-ray as stable. Michelle stayed for a family meeting after her shift. She told me she was concerned because the heart looked bigger on every x-ray. She recommended we get a follow-up echo. I called Radiology and confirmed this and subsequently ordered a follow-up echo. The echo showed a severe pericardial effusion requiring prompt draining in the ICU. Michelle is exceptional. She checked x-rays, stayed late for the meeting, and ultimately saved this boy's life and for this, I am so grateful.
