Michelle Nelson exemplifies the definition of an outstanding role model. She is always professional, calm and approachable. She has worked as a Wound Ostomy Nurse for the last couple of years, and she is always quick to help out and give guidance whenever a patient has an unusual wound or complex ostomy.
Michelle is an incredible resource for nursing staff, and she has evolved into a strong leader on 7SE. She is caring and compassionate towards all patients. I still remember her kindness when caring for one of our more difficult patients who frequently resisted care. Her respectful and gentle attitude helped the patient to trust her so that she could safely meet his care needs.
