I have bladder cancer. I've undergone two chemotherapy sessions, and the second one put me in the hospital, unable to keep anything down. While there, I had multiple nursing care staff members, day and night. On my second day, it was Michelle Papania. As soon as I met her, she had a sparkle in her eye and voice that said I care and will do what I can to help you get through this. She asked me serious questions and listened to my answers. She went out of her way to see to my care and comfort, always listening and hearing what I needed. She explained everything to me in a way that helped me understand what was being done.
The next day, when she showed up as my care nurse, I was thrilled to see that it was her again. She continued to care as the previous day. She helped me so much that I credit her with my recovery. She is always there for me with advice and words of comfort. And in a fun way that made me feel better. On the third day of my stay, my nurse again turned out to be Michelle. That really made my day! Michelle continued to be as helpful and fun. I am being discharged now, and Michelle is doing my paperwork. I will miss her sparkle, advice, and attitude very much. Her attitude and knowledge are what got me through my hospital stay. If you ever get her as your nurse, you will instantly know exactly what I'm saying! Michele is Great!
