Michelle spent extra time ensuring her comfort, both physical and mental, during her stay.
My mother was a recent patient after left-hip replacement surgery. During that time, she was under the care of many nurses, techs, and therapists, and I wanted to single out Michelle Parks for her exemplary care.
My mother is 88 years old and is suffering from dementia. I, along with my siblings, were very worried about her being released the day of, or day after surgery, as she lives at home.
Michelle was truly an ally of the patient, and the patient's family. Michelle spent extra time ensuring her comfort, both physical and mental, during her stay. We felt more confident that she would be able to do the things she needed to do at home, after the extra care provided at the hospital.
My mother received care from several nurses over several shifts, while at Passavant. I believe Michelle's title is Clinician/Nurse Leader. You should be proud of the fact you have elected to give her additional responsibilities, as she stood out from all the rest. I have had the responsibility of taking my mother to all of her doctor appointments since June of last year. I have not had the pleasure of meeting another nurse with the helpful and caring attitude of Michelle Parks.
Michelle was a treasure and made a difference during my mother's stay.
