Michelle Poole, Registered Nurse

Michelle was instrumental at a pivotal point in my life. She gave me hope at a time in my life when I was widowed at the age of 47. My husband had passed away from stage IV Melanoma Cancer. I was faced with unimaginable loss of not just his life but potentially my own. I was battling depression and alcohol addiction. It was in her groups at the MICA program I realized all hope was not lost. As a nurse, she has a passion for helping others and a zest for life like no one I had ever encountered. She taught me life skills that I continue to utilize today as part of my recovery from addiction and dealing with my grief. I am forever grateful for her, and today I share what she so freely shared with me so I, too, can help my fellow peers on their road to recovery. Hope that a wholehearted life in recovery is possible.
