Michelle Queen is the most amazing nurse. The nurses in the NICU go above and beyond, but Michelle took it all one step further. Michelle helped my husband and I learn how to take care of our daughter while we were there. She ensured she was available at any time for phone calls or check-ins on rare occasions when we weren't there. She helped us hold our daughter for the first time and nurse for the first time. She ensured that when our daughter took steps backward, she prayed with us when we asked her if she would. She sat down with me when I was crying and ensured I knew that the doctors and staff were doing everything. She reminded me that I still needed to eat and take care of myself and that she was there.

If I noted that something didn't seem right, she immediately went to fix the issue or to find out why there was the issue in the first place. Michelle asked to be her primary nurse after we told her she just made us feel so comfortable with her there in such a scary situation. We even asked if she would be willing to come to her baby dedication at our church. She came, and it made it all the more special to our family. We appreciate her time and sacrifices more than she will ever know.
