Michelle Rotunno, RN

Michelle Rotunno is by far the best nurse here at JSUMC and that says a lot because there is a lot of competition as I’ve had other great nurses as well. But, she stands out. Even when I’m not her patient for the day, she’ll make it a point to stop by and say hey and ask if everything is okay and how my progress is going. She truly cares and it warms my heart and lights up my days when I see her. Last week, she made time to take me outside for fresh air for a couple minutes. It seems like a small gesture but it made a world of difference to me. It was a beautiful 80 degree day. I’ve been admitted for over 30 days and some people would be going crazy but I’m lucky to have found people like her who passionately care about their patients and treat them like human beings instead of just “another sick person”.
