I wanted to recognize one of the PICU nurses that helped us tremendously during a code that recently took place in our NICU. We had called the PICU for assistance in changing a central line dressing for one of our patients who was losing a significant amount of blood from around the site. When Michelle got to our unit, she immediately began working with us as a team in trying to determine the best solution for redressing the central line, as this had been an ongoing challenge. Soon after we had finished with the dressing, our patient became very unstable and we knew that resuscitation was imminent. As our nurses began the first steps of resuscitation, Michelle jumped right in and began giving compressions. She worked very seamlessly with our team to save that patient. We can't thank Michelle enough!
