Michelle Skipper, RN, DNP, FNP-BC: DAISY award winner: East Carolina University, Department of Graduate Nursing Science Dr. Skipper is an exemplary faculty member at the College of Nursing. As a senior member of the Adult Gerontology and Family Nurse Practitioner options, she provides leadership in curriculum development, mentors new faculty and coordinates standardized clinical evaluations reflective of primary care nurse practitioner competencies. She was also instrumental in developing the curriculum for our new Doctor of Nursing Practice program. As a recognized leader in primary care management of women’s health issues, Dr. Skipper is a highly sought speaker and presenter at the state and national levels. She is a shining example of excellence in nursing education.
