Michelle Sok RN is one of the kindest people I have ever met in my life. She continuously goes above and beyond to make sure that the Telemetry unit and everyone that she works with has as smooth a day as possible when she is in charge. She is always willing to take on more responsibilities, do more work, or help anyone who is need regardless of how small the task may be or how busy she is.

Michelle is always willing to accommodate the unit by changing her schedule with hardly any notice at all. Michelle can always be called upon when the unit has difficult staffing issues that seem almost impossible to fix and she is always willing to help, proves that her teamwork knows no bounds.

Recently we were made aware that patient's glasses had gone missing from the night before. Michelle was told that the patient's glasses were left in their gown when they were changed. It was early in the morning and Michelle went and tracked down the EVS attendant who had just picked up all of the linen from the night before. She had the EVS attendant bring all of the dirty linen (15+ bags) to the other side of the unit and proceeded to open every bag and dig through it. When I turned the corner she was standing there dumping dirty linen out and sorting through it. Not everyone would take the extra time or be willing to do this especially when we were unsure if the glasses were even there, but not Michelle. With Michelle's quick thinking and can do mentality the patient glasses were found, cleaned, and returned to the patient.

Michelle Sok represents all that is good in nursing and all that is great with SVMC.
