Recently, my son had surgery. This has not been the first time I have been in with my kids or even for myself. I believe I have had Michelle as my nurse in recovery/post-op area before. She is AMAZING! Nice, polite caring and all around a good nurse. She does wonderful work with my kids and is always checking on us to make sure things are going well. She never makes you feel rushed to leave and that you are comfortable before being discharged.

This last time being with my son for tonsil surgery she remembered me as a mom and as a patient being there before. That is amazing! People are in and out so much there. Yet by that time (how many surgeries later? I'm a pro now), she still went through everything, treated my son like he was her only patient and me as her only mom to tend to. She went out of her way to make sure he had a movie to watch, drink, eat, comfort and she adored him like her own.

Michelle is a great asset to Altru and more than deserves this award. She is simply AMAZING!
