Before Michelle was my nurse on the day of my discharge. I met her in the hall walking. I was in pain from hiccups, and she asked If she could help and I asked her to “scare me” jokingly. She actually jumped and said “Boo” during our conversation and my hiccups actually stopped. Her concern and humor helped me. During my 3-day stay, Michelle was the only nurse who came in first thing in the morning and organized my bedside table, threw out trash, and changed my gown and sheets. She showed care in all aspects of patient care, my environment, my interpersonal feeling, and my goals of the day. She updated my board and shared her concerns on MD rounds to stay updated with the MD plans for me. Every time Michelle saw me in the hallway, she made sure to make eye contact with me and was readily available for my needs. I can genuinely say, Michelle is an extraordinary human who loves her job, respects her patients, and gets along with her coworkers. Michelle deserves a DAISY Bouquet and recognition!!
