While Michelle was interviewing me and taking my vitals, it was clear to me that she was sincerely concerned and cared about my well-being.
Michelle was my intake nurse at Mayo Clinic Emergency Department. I was hesitant to come to the ED, but I had a fever off and on for several days and lower abdominal pain, and I just did not feel right. While Michelle was interviewing me and taking my vitals, it was clear to me that she was sincerely concerned and cared about my well-being. She asked clarifying questions, assured me that I would be well taken care of, and made me feel comfortable.
After I was in an exam room, Michelle was passing by and saw that I looked cold and uncomfortable. She asked if she could bring a blanket and adjust my bed. I am so thankful for that, I was miserable and that small gesture to make me feel warm and comfortable meant a lot to me and exemplifies the caring spirit within her. Thank you, Michelle, for being an amazing and caring nurse. We need more nurses like you.
