The love and TLC they showed all of us was above and beyond.
My family came to Mercy for what should have been a very happy, life-changing celebration of birth. It quickly turned into one of the worst days of our lives. My sister, who just battled bilateral cancer, lost her first grandbaby and my niece, her first child. We were devastated. The only thing good about this situation was these two ladies; without them, we would not have made it through this. The love and TLC they showed all of us was above and beyond. They literally loved us through the entire horrible loss. They both give 110% of themselves at all times. They are amazing nurses. When someone asks you, “what did I do wrong?” over and over while holding their dead baby, let me just tell you, it was shattering, heart-shattering. "M.L" had the words, the compassion to let her know nothing was her fault. With hugs and TLC, she was able to let go of blaming herself for her baby’s death. When Michelle T. took the baby that mom held for many hours, she eased her slowly from her arms, telling her how strong she was and a great mommy from the start. It was the most awful thing I have ever seen, yet I knew, although the situation was horrible, we had the best two nurses guiding us, helping us, and getting us through. Thank you for all you do in the FBC. The good and bad of birth. Our hearts will forever be imprinted with tiny angel feet.
