Michelle Treloar is very deserving of this award in all aspects of the care she provides. Michelle has been a pediatric nurse within the Memorial Healthcare System for the past 22 years, ten of the last 22 years have been in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Memorial Hospital West. She is extremely competent in her nursing skills and provides compassionate care to each of her patients in an atmosphere that creates a positive environment for the pediatric patients and their families whom she comes in contact with. Being that South Florida serves such a diverse population; Michelle demonstrates culturally sensitive care to all of her patients.

Michelle consistently demonstrates professionalism in the department and is a positive role model for the staff. She is always pleasant and provides care with a positive attitude and smile. Michelle is able to quickly build a trusting relationship with her patients and their families because of the kindness, compassionate caring, and gentleness that she exhibits. As a department, we are proud of Michelle and her accomplishments within the department which made her an easy choice to nominate for this prestigious award exemplifying the compassion of the bedside nurse.
